I believe in the power of love, compassion and selfless service. My parents are my greatest teachers and lived by these core values. They always told me, “What matters the most in life is, if you are a kind, loving person and if you are a blessing to others. Your love and compassion will stay in someone’s heart and transform them forever."
Their teachings have been a big influence in my life. After I moved from India to San Francisco to pursue Master’s Degree in Taxation, from my early college days, I became actively involved in community work. My passion for helping people earned me a Community Leader Scholarship. |
After completing my Degree I moved to Southern California and have been actively involved with charities focused on women and children’s education, mentoring and emotional healing. I dedicate my time to organizing workshops for children focused on team building, creative thinking and understanding core values such as love, compassion, kindness and acceptance. I also mentor underprivileged children that come from a difficult background.
I am very thankful to Rohini for making me part of her organization. It is important that our children learn and practice these core human values and stay connected to their divine self so that they grow up to become outstanding individuals. Children are the light of the world, they are the future. Working with them and seeing them grow brings joy to my heart and I am sure many others share the same sentiment. I didn't come from a privileged family however I did have the privilege to become an engineer. My success today would not have been possible if it wasn’t for my mom and many kind-hearted people who lent me their hand and made me believe that I can achieve anything. I am what I am today because of my mom and those people. I know a lot of children don’t have that opportunity that I have had. But maybe I can “cast a stone in the water” (Mother Teresa) that can touch a child’s life just like how many others have had mine.
